Where it all began

Rooted in Real Life, Not Theory

Dit Da Jiao, translated as “fall-hit wine,” originated in ancient China as a form of practical trauma medicine. It was developed by and for people who relied on their bodies every day—farmers, laborers, soldiers, and martial artists. Injury wasn’t an inconvenience; it was a threat to livelihood and survival. Recovery needed to be effective, not theoretical.

Preserved Through Lineage and Experience

Historically, Dit Da Jiao formulas were passed down through families and martial arts lineages. This knowledge was protected to preserve effectiveness and safety. The medicine was refined over generations through real-world use—kept only if it worked, adjusted when it didn’t, and respected for its potency.

A Medicine Born From Movement

As martial arts traditions evolved, Dit Da Jiao became a cornerstone of training and recovery. Practitioners subjected their bodies to repetitive impact, conditioning drills, and physical strain. Bruising, swelling, and soft-tissue injury were expected. Dit Da Jiao allowed them to continue training by restoring circulation and supporting tissue repair rather than forcing the body to stop.

Restoring Flow to Support Healing

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain is often understood as stagnation—blocked flow of qi and blood following injury or overuse. Dit Da Jiao was formulated to address this root issue. By invigorating circulation and warming injured tissues, the formula helps bring fresh blood and nutrients to areas that need repair. Alcohol was used intentionally as a delivery system, allowing herbal compounds to penetrate deeply into muscles, tendons, and joints.

Still Relevant Today

Despite changes in technology and medicine, the human body hasn’t changed. We still experience strain, overuse, and injury. Dit Da Jiao continues to serve the same purpose it always has: supporting the body’s natural healing process by restoring flow where trauma has disrupted it.

Why We Honor Tradition

At Fusion Chi, we honor tradition because it represents centuries of lived experience, not outdated thinking. These formulas were developed through necessity, tested under physical demand, and refined through direct results. They weren’t created to mask symptoms—they were created to help the body recover so life could continue.

Honoring tradition doesn’t mean rejecting modern understanding. It means respecting what has worked, preserving its integrity, and applying it intentionally in today’s world. We believe the most effective healing happens when time-tested wisdom meets modern clarity, quality standards, and real-world application.

Tradition is not the opposite of progress.
It’s the foundation that makes progress meaningful.

Ancient wisdom. Modern recovery
